It's been extremely too long of a wait, but the time may finally be coming for Pittsburgh Steelers scout and personnel directorBill Nunn. Nunn was the architect of the Steel Curtain and helped mold the Steelers into the perennial winner that they are today.

Nunn joined the Steelers in 1968 after working for the Pittsburgh Courier. Nunn was hugely successful in bringing players from Historically Black Colleges and Universities to the Steelers. Names such as LC Greenwood, Mel Blount, Donnie Shell, Ernie Holmes, and John Stallworth.

One of the most memorable stories of Nunn comes from the recruitment of Stallworth leading up to the 1974 NFL draft. Legend has it that Nunn got his hands on the only video of Stallworths highlights and quickly misplaced it so that other teams couldn't get their hands on it. The Steelers took Lynn Swann in the first round, but came back much later and grabbed Stallworth. Had other teams been able to scout him he wouldn't of lasted as long as he did. That draft netted the Steelers five hall of Famers when including undrafted free agent Shell.
