The Pittsburgh Steelers will host the New England Patriots in the home opener on Sunday afternoon. The team is coming off a wild 23-20 overtime win in Week 1 over the Cincinnati Bengals. While the organization has a 53-man roster, not every player will suit up for game day. The main thing to take note of in terms of inactives a week ago was Mark Robinson and Kendrick Green not getting jerseys. Pittsburgh can dress 48 guys each week (if eight offensive lineman are active), but have just released the names of six who will not be active for the Week 2 matchup.

1.) Mason Rudolph, QB
This won't change for the veteran quarterback unless an injury occurs in the Steelers' quarterback room or he is traded. The biggest impact he will have will be in street clothes helping Mitch Trubisky and Kenny Pickett prepare and being a cheerleader on the sidelines.
2.) Kendrick Green, G
The offensive line wasn't completely disappointing a week ago and if Mason Cole's injury turned to be a bit more serious, Green would be active. But a clean bill of health and Green's poor play over the last year has him landing on the inactive list for the first two games of 2022.
3.) Mark Robinson, LB
Steelers fans want to see Robinson play after seeing how hard he hits and the passion he plays with during the preseason. Unfortunately, climbing onto the game day roster will be hard for the seventh round pick. He is also an injury away from dressing on Sundays just like everyone else on this list.

4.) Steven Sims, WR
Sims snuck his way onto the roster due to the injury to rookie wide receiver, Calvin Austin III. Once Austin comes off of injured reserve, Sims is likely to be waived by the team and potentially brought back as a practice squad member. He won't see the field as long as the wide receiver room stays healthy.
5.) Isaiahh Loudermilk, DT
The second-year player was inactive last week as Mike Tomlin gave the nod to rookie, DeMarvin Leal instead of Loudermilk. Nothings changes this week and Loudermilk finds himself on the bench again.
6.) David Anenih, LB
Anenih was signed off of the Tennessee Titans practice squad this past week, but evidently did not have enough time in practice to get up to speed with the Steelers defensive scheme. Delontae Scott was elevated from the practice squad on Saturday afternoon and will pay in just his second career NFL game.
