With many speculations that the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to look for an additional wide receiver, Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 The Fan has one guy on his mind on who he wants to bring in for the black and gold.

With Pittsburgh and the addition of a big wide receiver being a big topic for the Steelers, Fillipponi tweeted recently that the Steelers should trade for Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver, Mike Evans:

With NFL.com putting out their five players who should be traded this year, the idea of Mike Evans becoming a Steeler has now been put into the minds of fans. But who is to say that is not a possibility?

Realistically, what would Pittsburgh have to give up to acquire Mike Evans? Well, it is less than what you would think. The Steelers traded prime Antonio Brown to the Oakland Raiders for a third-round and fifth-round pick. The only downside of that was that they had to take on his new contract. Now, look at Evans, going into the last year of his contract and could potentially be on the move. For the Steelers to get him, we could easily see something like the Brown trade.

There is no doubt that the addition of Mike Evans to Pittsburgh could bring something special to the team. His play style is already a lot like George Pickens and to have him mentor the young wide receivers on that team could be beneficial. NFL.com had this to say about Evans' potential in free agency:

"Moving on from the 29-year-old Evans in the last year of his contract makes too much sense," as well as saying, "Evans actually would be a great acquisition for a number of teams, including some seriously looking to make a Super Bowl run."

The stats don't lie. Every single season Evans has been in the NFL, he has put up at least 1,000 yards. Not too many receivers can say that. With multiple Pro Bowls and All-Pro seasons, he's a perfect fit for the Steelers. The deciding factor in all of this is if the Steelers are willing to go all in for a Super Bowl or not.

Whether the Steelers decide to bring in Mike Evans or not, wide receiver is going to be a position that is heavily looked at in 2023. Pressure is going to be on this position and all of the players involved in it.

So, what do you think Steeler Nation? Is Mike Evans a person that interests you in becoming a Steeler? How big of a desire is it for the Steelers to bring in another wide receiver? Let me know in the comments!
