The Pittsburgh Steelers have the chance to clinch the AFC North Saturday against the Baltimore Ravens with a win. Pittsburgh has already won against Baltimore in Week 11 and have won the past eight out of nine games against its AFC North rival. However, the Steelers have been battling injuries and at one of the worst times as they enter their last stretch of games. They have already clinched a playoff berth, but homefield advantage would be huge as Head Coach Mike Tomlin and his team look for their first playoff win since January 2017. Notable names on the injury reports the past few weeks have been DeShon Elliott and star receiver George Pickens. At the end of the Philadelphia Eagles game, TJ Watt went down with an ankle injury and all week Steeler Nation has been wondering if he'll be able to go Saturday.

Watt had a major play in the Eagles game when he punched the ball perfectly out of Jalen Hurts' hands and it resulted in a Steelers recovery. The result of the game was a loss and it was even more brutal when Watt went down with a non-contact injury. It was determined to be a low sprained ankle and Tomlin didn't rule out Watt during his Tuesday press conference. Videos of Watt at practice have been a main focus all week for fans and the media. Thursday, Watt was seen participating in drills with the rest of the linebacker room.

Watt himself also spoke to reporters after practice. All week, analysts and even JJ Watt have been providing updates about TJ and what they believe will happen on Saturday. This is the first time TJ has spoken about his injury and given an update. The Athletic's Steelers beat reporter Mike DeFabo posted a video of him after Thursday's practice.
"We'll have to wait and see how it feels on Saturday, but I feel pretty good right now," TJ revealed.
The All-Pro has been known to be a game wrecker his whole career in Pittsburgh and teams always have to worry about planning around him. After being quiet for some of the season, he has moved his way up and is tied for the third most sacks in the NFL with 11.5 sacks. He also leads the league with six forced fumbles. TJ can arguably do it all and he's definitely determined to play for the AFC North title on Saturday.

Some fans might argue to rest TJ as the Steelers need him in the playoffs a lot more than this one game. Saturday's game is still a big game and the Steelers will need all the help they can get as the Ravens look to get revenge and finally win one against Pittsburgh. The former Wisconsin standout will also need to play against the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day, which is a quick turnaround coming four days after the Ravens game. It's not a lot of time to heal and fans don't want to risk him injuring his ankle more, but it's important to finish out the season strong with your best players.
Steelers' Record Without TJ Watt Isn't Great
The Steelers have great players all around and this season they added depth to their linebacker room with the trade acquisition of Preston Smith. Nick Herbig has also taken a bigger role and proved himself when Alex Highsmith was out for a few games. However, when TJ isn't able to play, the Steelers have a terrible record of 1-10 without him.

That record is very concerning considering the playmakers that are still on the defense. The last time the Steelers won without TJ was the 2022 season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Hopefully he will feel good enough Saturday to play because these final stretch of games are important in regard to winning the division and playoff seeding.
