Gerry Dulac, a writer for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, recently took to to share some noteworthy information. His post provided details regarding the identities of the Ohio State University prospects that Tomlin and Khan had met with in their pre-draft preparations.

Dulac's post revealed that running back Quinshon Judkins was among the Ohio State prospects meeting with Steelers personnel. Judkins' performance during the championship season showcased his multifaceted skill set: he produced an impressive 1,060 rushing yards and scored 14 rushing touchdowns, while also demonstrating his receiving capabilities with 22 receptions and 2 receiving touchdowns. Judkins' running style is characterized by a powerful and physical approach, similar to a traditional power back. He consistently displays a remarkable ability to gain yards after contact, exhibiting toughness and a willingness to engage defenders. Furthermore, Judkins also maintains exceptional ball security, minimizing fumbles.

Dulac's post also highlighted TreVeyon Henderson, another talented running back from Ohio State. Henderson's final collegiate season was highly productive, as he had 1,016 rushing yards and scored 10 rushing touchdowns, along with a receiving touchdown from 27 receptions. He also led his conference with an impressive average 7.1 yards per rush attempt. Henderson's playing style is distinguished by exceptional burst and rapid acceleration, allowing him to break away for explosive plays. He also showcases impressive agility and footwork, allowing for quick changes in direction and elusiveness in the open field. Furthermore, Henderson is a versatile offensive weapon, demonstrating reliable receiving skills out of the backfield, including good route running and secure hands.

Steelers Will Howard

Dulac's post also included quarterback Will Howard, a player whose name has frequently surfaced in discussions surrounding the Steelers. Given the Steelers' current vacancy at the starting quarterback position, and the widely reported intention to secure their long-term franchise quarterback either in this year's or next year's draft, Howard's inclusion is important. The Steelers' draft strategy is further complicated by their current possession of the 21st overall pick, coupled with the lack of a second-round selection, an outcome of the trade that brought veteran wide receiver DK Metcalf to the team.

Howard's impact at Ohio State was immediate and significant, resulting in a championship victory. His statistical performance was equally impressive, as he led the conference in passing yards, passing touchdowns, and completion percentage. In his single season with the Buckeyes, he threw for 4,010 yards, 35 touchdowns, and completed 73% of his passes. Howard's strengths lie in his powerful arm, which allows him to deliver throws to all areas of the field. Additionally, he possesses notable mobility, enabling him to extend plays and create opportunities with his legs. Beyond his physical attributes, Howard is recognized for his strong leadership qualities, both on and off the field, making him a respected figure within the team.

Steelers fans will have to wait until the NFL Draft itself to see the Steelers' true intentions.
