While Rodgers has yet to make an official decision, despite reportedly receiving a contract offer, the Steelers appear to be in a waiting game as they await his response. Adding a receiver who already has established chemistry with Rodgers could be the missing piece that not only enhances the offense, but also potentially influences Rodgers to finalize his commitment to Pittsburgh.
One player the Steelers should strongly consider targeting is Romeo Doubs, the current wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers and a former teammate of Rodgers. Recently, Steelers insider Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette addressed the situation in a post on X, confirming that the trade of Pickens has no effect on Rodgers’ decision.
