As the Pittsburgh Steelers continue to prepare for the start of training camp, the team finds itself with unanswered questions at multiple positions on offense. With rumors surrounding four-time MVP and future Hall Of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers continuing to loom large, the Steelers are remaining patient in hopes that Rodgers will sign with the team in the near future. With Mason Rudolph currently projected to be Pittsburgh's starting quarterback in Week 1 against the New York Jets, the Steelers remains hopeful that Rodgers will report to the team's facilities sooner rather than later.

Rodgers, who is more than likely entering his final NFL season, is a player that is far past his prime, but could still add some major firepower to an underwhelming offensive unit in Pittsburgh. Rodgers may prove to be an elite mentor for rookie quarterback Will Howard as well, as the former Jet is a seasoned veteran with an unfathomable amount of experience.
Howard, who was drafted by the Steelers in the sixth round of this year's draft, is a promising rookie that should have the opportunity to make an impact in the future. As many fans continue to voice their opinions on the Rodgers situation all throughout social media, Steelers reporter Ray Fittipaldo expressed his thoughts on the ongoing dilemma during an appearance on 93.7 The Fan.
"He did have that one throwing session with DK Metcalf at UCLA way back when." Fittipaldo stated. "They are both based out of Southern California, so it won't be hard for those two to work the final two weeks of June and the first few weeks of July. Listen, Ben used to do this with his receivers. Take them to a sunny location in between mini camp and training camp, and those guys can get like a week or ten days worth of work in."
Fittipaldo continued expressing that he believes Rodgers could decide to have one or multiple sessions with the offensive play-makers if he so chooses. This would allow everyone to get on the same page,
"Listen, Aaron Rodgers can fly out Calvin Austin lll, Roman Wilson and a bunch of other guys and they can do their work out in southern California if it comes to that. But obviously Joe, yeah it would be great if they could get the ball rolling in mini camp as well."
Rodgers, who was spotted on campus at UCLA training with DK Metcalf a number of months ago, is still considered to be undecided on his future and has reportedly left all options open including retirement.
Metcalf, who was acquired by the Steelers in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks earlier this offseason, is expected to play a major role on the Steelers' offense in 2025. As the start of training camp continues to grow closer, fans continue to voice their frustration and concerns with the Steelers' quarterback and wide receiver rooms.

Steelers Lack Depth In Crucial Areas On Offense
After trading star wide receiver George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange of a third-round pick, and more, the Steelers find themselves with no real wide receiver depth outside of Metcalf. With the rest of the receiver room consisting of Calvin Austin lll, Roman Wilson and Robert Woods, the Steelers may turn towards the free agency market in hopes of acquiring a true second option.
With many big names still available, Pittsburgh may emerge as a top suitor for Amari Cooper or Keenan Allen. Cooper, who was traded from the Cleveland Browns to the Buffalo Bills last season, is a 10-year NFL veteran who would provide the Steelers with elite production behind Metcalf.
As a five-time Pro Bowler and former Offensive Rookie Of The Year, Cooper may prove to be the best option available for Pittsburgh outside of Allen. Allen, a six-time Pro Bowler, is a talented and electric player that would be an excellent wide receiver two option. The Steelers may turn to the talent that is already on the roster as well, as Austin lll has reportedly shown major flashes of potential throughout the offseason.
