The Pittsburgh Steelers made several off-season additions via free agency this year. One of those moves included signing former Buffalo Bills cornerback, Levi Wallace to essentially replace Joe Haden on a two-year deal. Wallace brings experience and a winning pedigree to the defense after four years in Buffalo. The new Steelers cornerback seems to be settling in nicely and spoke to the media on Thursday. He talked about what it's like to be a part of the organization and how it compares to what happens in Buffalo.
"It's kinda the same. Hardworking guys around me in the locker room. You can tell there's a lot of love in here, just how everyone communicates and how they laugh and joke. It feels like a family and I'm happy to be apart of it," said Wallace.
We went further to discuss the bond that not just his teammates have all together, but specifically in the defensive backs room:
"That's honestly what I was speaking on. I'm just in the DB room most of the time and those guys just have a good bond so we have bonded a couple times this off-season, did some golfing things and hung out, but it's been good. I've enjoyed it a lot."
After discussing the culture in the locker room, Wallace went on to talk about the rotation between his new Steelers teammates Ahkello Witherspoon and Cam Sutton:
"Our coaches are rotating us right now. My main goal is to learn the playbook. They'll figure the rest out in training camp when we're competing and have pads on," said Wallace. I think it's just building comradery right now with the teammates I have out there. They just have us rotating right now, different personnel for different things."

Wallace, who had six interceptions in his four seasons in Buffalo, said he is flexible and feels comfortable no matter where is is on the field.
"Football's football. You're still covering receivers. I played some inside back in Buffalo too so it's nothing that is new to me and I accept the challenge."Steelers’ CB Levi Wallace on Guarding No. 1 Receivers: “That stuff doesn’t faze me”
Wallace also had some very high praise for Steelers safety, Minkah Fitzpatrick after joking that he taught Fitzptrick all he knows:
"Minkah's a leader, day in and day out. Even when we leave here, he wants to do extra stuff. Go swimming, work on our lungs, or get another lift in, and I'm like, 'Yo, Minkah relax.' It's fun being with him again and just the leader he is. Easy to talk to and ask questions to."You can watch the entirety of Wallace's interview on the Steelers YouTube channel here.
Wallace seems to fit right in with the Steelers locker room. Are you excited to see him in the black and gold this year? Let us know in the comments below!
