The Pittsburgh Steelers are taking on the Seattle Seahawks in the first preseason game of the year for both teams at Acrisure Stadium on Saturday evening. Football is a game of bumps and bruises and while all teams would love to avoid serious injury in August, it is hard to head into the regular season free of injury. The Steelers were hit with potentially the first big loss of the year in the first quarter as Ahkello Witherspoon took a knee after a play and seemed to be holding his right arm.

Witherspoon wasn't the only defensive player to suffer an injury early as safety, Karl Joseph was carted off with his foot in a boot-looking cast and won't return to action.

Witherspoon appeared to not be in too much pain, but arm injuries are tricky and don't always appear serious when they originally occur. We will continue to update Steeler Nation as we hear more about both Witherspoon and Joseph's injuries.
How much would an absence from Witherspoon and/or Joseph hurt the Steelers going forward? Let us know in the comments below!
