The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming into the 2022 season with a lot of unanswered questions. The Steelers most-known question is at the quarterback position, but a lot of talent will surround Mitch Trubisky or Kenny Pickett as the starter of the Black and Gold. That's what makes the team so intriguing this season, they really could be boom or bust depending on that all-important question at the most important position in all of sports.

In an article released by NFL.com last Friday, NFL analyst, Bucky Brooks listed the Steelers as his "CHAOS" team in the AFC North division going into the 2022 season. Brooks put the spotlight on teams that have been overlooked by popular opinion this offseason and that could look to cause chaos within their division and the NFL.
"Yes, it's weird to talk about one of the most accomplished franchises in league history as a potential chaos team, but this is undoubtedly a transitional time for the Steelers," Brooks stated in his article. "With Ben Roethlisberger hanging up the cleats in January, it's the start of a new era in Pittsburgh. And with the Steelers positioned in a competitive AFC North, some folks think Mike Tomlin's due for his first losing season. Not sure I'd personally make that bet. Without the future Hall of Famer in the huddle, the Steelers could take a "back to the future" approach that prioritizes the defense and running game."

The Good Morning Football (GMFB) roundtable Tuesday morning brought the article up for discussion. Brooks had a supporter of his argument back him up with listing the franchise as a chaos team in 2022.
Will Selva also chose the Black and Gold as the team most likely to flip the league narrative and cause chaos in the upcoming season.
"I feel like with the Steelers, we constantly want to write them off," Selva stated in the segment. "They made the playoffs even when no one really expected them to. I mean, Ben Roethlisberger was on his last legs out there playing. Some people were comparing it to 'Weekend at Bernie's' with the offense, but he willed that team into the playoffs. They have a phenomenal defense there.""It's just like you can never write off the Steelers. I mean, they have a great defense. They have one of the great young talents at wide receiver there in Diontae Johnson as well. Right now, what they have to do is have Mitch Trubisky or Pickett, whoever it is, under center, be that manager, manage the game and let Najee Harris do his thing. He's going to contribute not only in the running game, but also the passing game as well.
And there is no reason to think that the Steelers can't make an actual push for a playoff spot here, guys. We have learned over and over, you can never count out Mike Tomlin is a fantastic coach. He always has these guys prepared. They play hard."
Finally, someone has said it! Selva is right, Tomlin hasn't posted a losing season to date and I don't think that will happen anytime soon. There's too much talent and potential on a roster with fantastic coaching. When has that ever been a recipe for a bad season?
"You got Cam Heyward on the defensive side, TJ Watt, Minkah Fitzpatrick, who is a ball hawk. So for me, I just think the Steelers are that team that will create chaos, but every year they are always in it. They got the strong fan base and they also have the talent there year in and year out, it seems like and they make the most out of it."

The Steelers will look to lean on defense, coaching, and running the football to aide whoever is at QB this season. The mentality might be a little traditional in regards to today's NFL, but it can work! No one knows tradition in the NFL like the Steelers. It could be a recipe for great success in 2022.
