The Pittsburgh Steelers have been relatively lucky in regards to injuries thus far during the pre-season. Sunday afternoon's contest against the Detroit Lions may have changed that as newly signed and star wide receiver, Diontae Johnson left the game with an apparent shoulder injury after diving for a third down pass down the sideline from quarterback, Mitch Trubisky.

Johnson is coming off of a year when he had 107 receptions, 1,161 yards and eight total touchdowns. He heads into the season as the main target for whoever is starting at quarterback.
The injury is quite concerning as the Steelers recently awarded Johnson with a new contract and he is the leader in his positional group. Shoulder injuries also have the potential to be extremely nagging. The hope is that this is nothing serious, but we will continue to update the injury as more is known about his status.
