For the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Kenny Pickett era starts now according to a report by NFL Network insider, Ian Rapoport:
The #Steelers are expected to move forward with rookie QB Kenny Pickett, sources say, as the first-rounder is set to replace Mitch Trubisky in the lineup. Pickett saw his first action on Sunday and is slated to be the QB moving forward. pic.twitter.com/Lc2ZiMerlg

Steelers head coach, Mike Tomlin wouldn't name Pickett the starter on Sunday, but it sounds like things have changed.
Pickett completed all his passes in his NFL debut replacing Mitch Trubisky at halftime, finishing with 10 completions to Steelers players and throwing three to New York Jets defenders on Sunday at Acrisure Stadium. He also ran for a pair of scores, once on a sneak and once on a bootleg. He seemed to provide a spark to the Steelers offense with his edge and poise:
Zero of Kenny Pickett's 13 pass attempts against the Jets on Sunday hit the ground.

10 went to Steeler's receivers, while 3 found the hands of Jets' defenders.

Pickett will get time to prepare for his first NFL start on the road against the Buffalo Bills in Week 5.
