The Pittsburgh Steelers made several moves in free agency this off-season and may not be completely done. The uncharacteristic off-season has been necessary due to the need for depth in several areas on both sides of the ball. Pro Football Focus wasted no time giving one of them the title of most underrated on the team. New cornerback, Levi Wallace is the most under appreciated on the team, according to PFF.

The article reads:
"Wallace is a classic underdog story. An undersized cornerback without special physical traits, he was a walk-on at Alabama and went undrafted in the NFL before going on to start consistently for Buffalo opposite Tre'Davious White He likely won’t ever be a great player, but he’s consistently better than he is given credit for and exceeds expectations because of it. Wallace has never earned a below-average PFF coverage grade in a season, and he'll likely continue to impress after signing with the Steelers this offseason."
Steelers' Levi Wallace the Perfect Replacement for Joe Haden
Wallace had six interceptions, two each season, in the last three years for the Buffalo Bills. At just 26 years old, he has several years of good football left and a year from now, Pittsburgh fans may look back at the signing and call it a steal. Wallace signed a two-year contract worth $8 million after playing all 17 games for the Bills in 2021.
With Joe Haden seemingly to be on his way out, Wallace is a perfect, rejuvenated corner who will help the secondary against several great quarterbacks in the AFC. He also has a history playing with safety, Minkah Fitzpatrick at the University of Alabama.

PFF doesn't always seem to be right according to fans, but this is a solid selection for the most underrated player in Pittsburgh. Wallace is a great addition to the secondary and should be a key part of the defense throughout the 2022 season.
