Steelers to Promote Adrian Klemm to Offensive Line Coach

After the past two seasons as an assistant offensive line coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Adrian Klemm will be named the offensive line coach for the Steelers. Klemm will be tasked with replacing former coach Shaun Sarrett, who had mixed reviews since he took over for the Steelers in 2019. Although the offensive line did well in the passing game, the running game continuously struggled when Sarrett took over for Mike Munchak.

Klemm has a strong familiarity with the game as both a player and coach. He played for the New England Patriots from 2000-2004 and the Green Bay Packers in 2005. He got his coaching start with the SMU Mustangs as a graduate assistant in 2008, where he would later become the offensive line coach in 2011. In 2012 he accepted an offer from Jim Mora Jr. and the UCLA Bruins as the offensive line coach and run game coordinator. He would be in the that position until 2016 and would not coach again until he joined the Steelers in 2019.
