The Pittsburgh Steelers added quite a few young weapons on the offensive side of the ball this off-season via the draft, including two wide receivers, George Pickens and Calvin Austin III. I'm absolutely excited to see these two young guys on the field this season. However, I'm just as excited to see what, now going into his third year, WR Chase Claypool will accomplish on the field this upcoming year. A lot of Steeler fans would agree that there is so much untapped potential with Claypool!
The wide receiver spoke to the media on Wednesday after a practice session during minicamp.

Claypool discussed the leadership role that he talked about taking on during Organized Team Activities (OTAs):
"Yeah. No, I've been big on learning every position on the field, so I can help everyone out. Still working on that and perfecting that. But George and Calvin are super receptive to what I have to say, so it makes it easy for me."

"Is it cool when you get Diontae [Johnson] back full in full gear? Because he wasn't the first week, but he came back, I think, Tuesday and Thursday last week."
"Yeah. People are making a big deal out of it, but I knew it wasn't anything to be worried about. I know he wanted to be here, so it's good to have him back. It's cool to see how much he's grown as a player."

Steelers teammates becoming close
On what he's seen out of Kenny Pickett and Mitch Trubisky thus far:
"I think Kenny's understanding of the playbook early on, he knows everything. Like, even though sometimes I'm like, what do I have here? Because we have some new plays going in, and he'll tell me right away. So that's cool." Claypool stated after a follow up that Pickett is helping him with playbook, "On the field, every now and then.""Yes, Mitch is very easy to talk to, I would say. He always invites us over any time we're around. He's welcoming us with open arms and yeah, he just feels like family already."
