The Pittsburgh Steelers are going into a season with more questions than they are normally used to. Most people will closely be watching first round pick, Kenny Pickett. Young Steelers Moving Into Camp

Pickett told the media that he went to lunch with his dorm-mate QB Chris Oladokun right before arriving in Latrobe. Looking as relaxed as ever, Pickett goes on to mention that he is excited to get out there and play and he is looking forward to the first team meeting.

“It’s a great spot to be in,” in regards to stepping in the footsteps of a legend like Ben Roethlisberger, Pickett said.

Pickett is making it clear that he is so far enjoying the team as he is acknowledging the great team he is around himself saying:

“Great team, got great guys around me, so I’m excited to be here.”

Pickett also went on to mention that he has not heard from any of the coaches about how many reps he will be getting in over camp. For a man who does not show too much emotion off the field, Pickett will look to have a strong training camp and earn that starting QB role with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Freiermuth showed up to training camp and was asked about it being in Latrobe since this is his first time.

“I heard it is hot. I heard if you wake up in the morning and look out the window and see fog, it is going to be a long day.”

Freiermuth is in good spirits heading into his second season as a professional player. In his rookie campaign, he showed signs of excellent TE potential. In the 2021 season, he had 60 catches with 497 yards. Also, he was a red-zone threat with seven TD’s. The young TE should be poised for another solid season in 2022 with another year under Matt Canada’s offense.
