The Pittsburgh Steelers took a huge blow in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills. They lost their run stuffing stud nose tackle, Tyson Alualu.
The loss of Alualu, and Stephon Tuitt doomed the Steelers defensive front. The Steelers couldn't stop the run at all in 2021. At one point, giving up over 1,000 yards on the ground in a 5-game span.
They spent all season trying to find a replacement. The closest they got was when they signed Montravius Adams off the New Orleans Saints practice squad.

The fact that Alualu is planning on returning is a huge boost to the Steelers front. The ability for Adams, and Alualu to spell each other should give the defensive unit a big boost against the run.
