The Pittsburgh Steelers, and Kevin Colbert have now completed their final draft together. Colbert will officially set aside as general manager in the coming weeks once a replacement is hired. Colbert has been a staple of the Steelers organization since 2000 when he was hired to replace Tom Donahoe.
Colbert began his career with the Steelers by drafting wide receiver Plaxico Burress, and he finishes it by drafting quarterback Chris Oladokun.
Following the draft tonight the Steelers held their draft recap press conference with Mike Tomlin, and Colbert. Tomlin opened the press conference by thanking Colbert.
"I've had an opportunity to come alongside this gentleman for 15 of those years and it's been an absolute pleasure."
