Today, Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier has officially retired he announced via Twitter. "It's been over a thousand days since I been on the field," Shazier stated, and while he says the game will always be there for him, he is going to explore new opportunities away from the field. This has been the writing on the wall for awhile now as he was placed on the Reserve/Injured list since late 2017. Shazier was not present during Steelers training camp this year as well as he placed his house in Pittsburgh for sale in May, so this decision shouldn't shock many. I think I speak for all of SteelerNation when I say thank you Ryan Shazier for all the memories you brought to Pittsburgh. You will be a Steeler for life and an inspiration to everyone around you.
Thank You 🙏🏽... pic.twitter.com/JS3diYi2ar
