After two more positive tests were reported out of Tennessee (bringing the total to 11 out of the Titans team and personnel), the Week 4 match-up will now be postponed and rescheduled to later in the season.
In a statement from the NFL, one additional Titans player and one personnel member tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday.
"The decision to postpone the game was made to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and game day personnel," the NFL said in its statement. "The Titans facility will remain closed and the team will continue to have no in-person activities until further notice." - ESPN.com
A likely solution for rescheduling is Week 7 on Oct. 25 (Tennessee's bye week), and/or Week 8 on Nov. 1 (Pittsburgh's bye week). An early bye week is an unfortunate scenario for most, but knowing that the San Francisco 49ers made the Super Bowl last season after having a Week 4 bye should give Steeler Nation some positive encouragement.
More to come, we'll keep you posted as news continues to break.
