Sitting at 2-6 through nine weeks, the Pittsburgh Steelers have become a tough watch for fans. Head coach Mike Tomlin is staring at his first potential below-.500 season as coach of the Steelers. The team was originally scheduled for primetime football in Week 11, as they were slated to be on Sunday Night Football against the Cincinnati Bengals at Acrisure Stadium.

On Tuesday morning, it was announced that game will no longer be in primetime. Instead, the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs divisional matchup has been "flexed" to Sunday evening on NBC. As a result, the Steelers-Bengals game will replace the Chiefs-Chargers' original time slot, 4:25 p.m. ET in Week 11.

The schedule change gives the Steelers their first game in the 4:25 p.m. ET time slot this season. When the schedule originally came out before the season, the black and gold didn't have a single game scheduled in that slot. Pittsburgh was originally supposed to have primetime games in back-to-back weeks, as they play the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football in Week 12.
The team's other scheduled primetime game, is in Week 16 against the Las Vegas Raiders. That game takes place on a Saturday, which happens to be Christmas Eve. Those two primetime games won't be flexed, as SNF games are the only ones with the potential to be flexed. The NFL does this in the latter portions of the season in order to put better games on TV for more viewers.

As aforementioned, the Steelers aren't exactly a fun team to watch right now, especially for the casual viewer. The other two primetime games, against the Colts and Raiders, look to be very bleak at the moment as well in terms of entertainment. Normally, we see the Steelers' games getting moved to SNF. Now, they're so bad that their games are getting flexed out of primetime football.
