Former Pittsburgh Steelers dominant running back, Le'Veon Bell hasn't fallen out of the public eye since he last played in the NFL back in 2021. He has taken up a career in boxing and even fought future Hall of Fame ball carrier, Adrian Peterson early in 2022. That would end in Bell knocking out Peterson in the exhibition bout. It appears that Bell may have found his next opponent, but it might not be with the boxing gloves on. He made headlines on Sunday after joining the Misfits Boxing 007 podcast and hinting at the fact that he would love to box former Cincinnati Bengals linebacker, Vontaze Burfict.

It appears that Burfict may have already been notified about Bell's comments on the podcast. The former running back didn't call him out by name, but it was pretty clear who he was referring to. He made sure to say that the real Steelers fans out there would absolutely know who he was talking about. Burfict was the culprit behind many injuries to Pittsburgh players including Bell's season-ending MCL tear in the 2015 campaign.

Another guy who loved to jaw on the football field is former Bengals' cornerback, Adam 'Pacman' Jones. He has been retired since 2018, but played in Cincinnati for eight seasons and with Burfict. He heard about what Bell said and responded early on Monday morning.

Jones took it upon himself to reach out to Burfict in order to get his thoughts on the situation. He then tweeted at the podcast's official Twitter account once more in response to Bell's innuendo. It's safe to say that Burfict is ready to fight Bell in the octagon and Jones is even offering to host the event live on the Pat McAfee Show.

There is is no love lost between Burfict and the Steelers. No one will ever forget his incredible dirty hit on wide receiver, Antonio Brown in the 2015 playoffs, but he was responsible for so much more including Bell's torn MCL. It would be pretty wild to see the two face off in an MMA style fight that doesn't have nearly as many rules as boxing.

Steelers Former Running Back, Bell Silent After Jones' Offer

Bell has yet to respond to Jones and it's anyone's guess to if he even will. Burfict was ruthless on the football field and there's no reason to believe that he wouldn't have a legitimate goal of significantly hurting Bell if the two were to ever fight. It would be a sight to see, however, and millions of football fans all over the world would definitely tune in. One thing is for sure: Burfict, and his tempter, would absolutely be the favorite to win this one.

Would you pay to watch Bell and Burfict duel it out in an octagon? Let us know in the comments below!
