The Pittsburgh Steelers have officially clinched a playoff berth. With the Tennessee Titans beating the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 18, the Steelers are in. As things sit right now, the Steelers are the seventh seed, but they could move up to the sixth seed.

On Sunday night, if the Miami Dolphins defeat the Buffalo Bills the Steelers will be the sixth seed. In the event they're the sixth seed they would travel to Kansas City to play the Chiefs.

If the Bills knock off the Dolphins tonight and clinch the AFC East division title, the Steelers would head to Buffalo. It has been a long road in 2023 for the Steelers, but somehow, someway, Head Coach Mike Tomlin and his team found a way to sneak into the postseason. With only three playoff wins since 2011, Pittsburgh will play on the road hoping to surprise either the Bills or Chiefs.

Steelers Could Potentially Host AFC Championship Game
In a wild turn of events, Pittsburgh has an avenue to host the AFC Title Game. If the Miami Dolphins beat the Bills Sunday evening, there is a legitimate possibility that the Bills and Steelers meet in late January as the AFC's final two teams. Overall, Pittsburgh's playoff hopes seemed bleak after three straight December losses, but Tomlin and co. will have a chance to compete for a seventh Lombardi Trophy.
The date and time of those games will be announced late tonight once things are set.
