The Pittsburgh Steelers' end goal is always winning a Super Bowl. While some teams aim for winning records, winning their division, or even just making the playoffs, the Steelers hold themselves to a higher standard. The Steelers' new quarterback Russell Wilson isn't shy when it comes to wanting to bring number seven to Pittsburgh.

Wilson, after being limited during another training camp practice due to his calf injury, sat down with NFL Network's Marc Ross and Rhett Lewis on Inside Training Camp Live. Wilson talked to them about his past Super Bowl experiences and how his mentality will set the Steelers up for success throughout the 2024 season.
"Well I think there has been only so many quarterbacks in the world that have won Super Bowls. And the reality is I've been fortunate to win one, been to two. And I think the best thing is that Coach Tomlin's been there, he's won it. Lot of similarities in terms of how we think about the game, how we love the game, the process."
Wilson, who spent ten seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, twent to a pair of Super Bowls, beating the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII and losing to the New England Patriots where the famous Malcolm Butler interception was born. Wilson believes he still has plenty left in the tank to help Pittsburgh to get back to the Promised Land and help guys like TJ Watt, Cameron Heyward and Minkah Fitzpatrick get the rings that they deserve.
"Guys like TJ Watt, they need a ring on their finger and Cam Heyward. They're special players, Hall of Fame players, Minkah."
The Steelers haven't seen any playoff success in some time, not winning a postseason matchup since the 2016 season. The organization is trying to change that, bringing in Wilson, Justin Fields, Patrick Queen, DeShon Elliott, and drafting offensive line help the past two years, they have the talent they believe will turn the tides.

The Steelers are not the only team with Super Bowl aspirations, as the other 31 teams in the league want the Lombardi Trophy. Wilson says he is bringing a winning mentality to the Steelers, to really separate themselves from everyone else in the NFL. He brings up being clutch in crunch time, something the Steelers have been familiar with in recent history, hoping to continue to win when the game is on the line.
"There's 31 other teams that are putting hard work in, and how are we going to separate ourselves? How are we going to do that? And so I think more importantly, the mentality that I want to bring every day, the mentality of what success looks like, the mentality of overcoming, the mentality that we're never going to blink in situations."
Before training camp, Wilson was on the top of the depth chart, and it is still safe to assume that he still is, even with Fields impressive camp in Latrobe so far. Wilson is slowly working back into full action, but Mike Tomlin and the staff aren't going to rush him when they do not have to. It's unlikely that he would see many snaps during the preseason anyway and they will want to make sure that Wilson is at 100% by Week 1 for a game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Even though Wilson hasn't been full go yet in Latrobe, that has not stopped him from coaching up his teammates and working with them as much as he can. Many media members have seen him throwing with his receivers and tight ends after practice, going through routes and giving pointers to the younger guys like Roman Wilson.
Will The Steelers Find Postseason Success With Wilson At The Helm?
Wilson wants to bring a mentality that brings the postseason success that fans have been begging for. There is hope that he sees more action next week at training camp as his calf improves, but the staff's main goal is to make sure he is ready for the start of the season.
Will Wilson be able to bring the Steelers another Super Bowl? Let us know what you think in the comments.
