Steelers' Mike Tomlin and Arthur Smith celebrate a win post game
On December 1, the team will visit the Struggling Cincinnati Bengals in what is supposed to be a win. It will probably not be a walk in the park, but the Steelers are the favorites. Considering their record of 8 - 3 versus the Bengals’ 4 - 7, it is easy to see who has had the better season so far. The visiting team was on a five-game winning streak before last Friday when they lost to the Cleveland Browns. Winning this game is a great chance to get back to winning and then repay the Browns on December 8.
Odds and Predictions: What Do the Bookies Say?
The fans of NFL betting are eager to hear the newest odds and forecasts for this upcoming game so here they are. As of right now, the bookies are not favoring the visiting Steelers to take the game. It is actually the Bengals with the odds of 1.66 over the 2.33 that the Pittsburgh team has. This is very interesting considering the current record of the teams. If you prefer the other format, the Steelers are at +130 for the money line bet while the Bengals are at -155.
In terms of passing yards bets, Russell Wilson over/under is set at 224.5 and the odds for both are 1.83. The same goes for Joe Burrow. The touchdowns are a bit more diverse. Russel Wilson under 1.5 is 1.53 and the over 1.5 is 2.38. For Joe Burrow, the over 1.5 is at 1.73 and the under 1.5 is 2.
What about the winning margin? Well, a Bengals win of 1 - 6 has the odds at 4. A Steelers win by the same margin is at 4.5 odds. For 7 - 12, the odds jump to 5.5 and 7, respectively. The score-first odds are more balanced with the home team at 1.75 and the visiting team at 2.05. Total touchdowns are set at 1.13 odds for 7.5 under and at 1.2 for 3.5 over.
Game News and Stories
Mike Tomlin has had some comments about the upcoming game, saying on the matchup against Ja’Marr Chase:
“We better carry a full menu, some zone, some man.” He added, ”We better be close to him, and then we better tackle [after] the catch.
He also teased a potential return of his fellow teammate Alex Highsmith when he stated,
“We got Alex Highsmith leaning in on a return. We’ll let his participation and the quality of that participation be our guide.”
Encouraging news indeed and a great boost for the away team should he indeed be available!
For the Bengals, after not performing all too well in their signature orange, they seem to be sticking to it for this game. They decided to go back to it on Sunday afternoon despite being 0 - 3 in games where they don their orange jerseys. To complete the look, they chose black pants with orange stripes and orange socks.
