The Pittsburgh Steelers are gearing up to face off against the Cleveland Browns in Week 14 of the NFL season. A lot of the attention has been on the drama between Browns cornerback Greg Newsome II and Steelers star wide receiver George Pickens

Steelers' George Pickens makes an incredible one handed grab against the Cleveland Browns.

After the Steelers lost 24-19 to the Browns in Week 12, Pickens had some strong comments about the Browns not being a good team. He also got into a fight with Newsome, and the two clearly don’t like each other. Newsome was talking to the media on Friday and stated that Pickens was a selfish player who wants to hurt his team.

Pickens responded by saying he doesn’t even know who Newsome is. While all of that sets up a great rematch between two teams who hate each other, a worry appeared when the Steelers' new injury report came out. On Friday, Mark Kaboly shared that Pickens has popped up with a hamstring injury and is listed as questionable for the Browns game. This is a concerning development for the Steelers, as Pickens has been one of their top offensive weapons.

His presence on the field is crucial for the Steelers’ success, especially against a physical Browns defense that has a lot to prove. While the Steelers have other options in their wide receiver room, losing Pickens would undoubtedly be a blow to their offensive game plan.

As the weekend approaches, the Steelers are hopeful that Pickens can shake off the injury and take the field on Sunday. With the stakes high in a rivalry game, the Steelers need all hands on deck to get the win. Fans and teammates alike will be anxiously waiting for an update on Pickens' status, as his health could be the deciding factor in this high-stakes matchup.

Steelers Hopeful George Pickens Can Play Sunday Against The Browns

Seeing Pickens pop up on the injury report on a Friday, with the game just two days away, is never a great sign. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean he won’t be able to play. Pickens would be incredibly difficult to keep out of this matchup, especially with the harsh words and back-and-forth from the Browns. He’s not the type to shy away from a challenge, and if he feels he’s able to play, he likely will.

If the Steelers do have to go without Pickens, it would be a significant loss, but one they could manage. The wide receiver room has been stepping up, especially with Russell Wilson spreading the ball around more. Steeler Nation is anxiously awaiting further updates on Pickens’ health.
