The Pittsburgh Steelers wrapped up their 2025 NFL Draft selections by taking linebacker Carson Bruener, and cornerback Donte Kent. Both of whom were selected in the seventh round. Now that the draft has concluded, each team in the NFL is shifting gears to signing players who were not fortunate enough to be selected during the draft. In recent years, the Steelers have been lucky during the undrafted free agent process landing running back Jaylen Warren, and last season, cornerback Beanie Bishop.

During the draft, the Steelers spent nearly all of their choices on the defensive side of the ball. The only offensive players the team added were quarterback Will Howard, and running back Kaleb Johnson. Howard likely will spend the majority of the season as the team's third quarterback, while Johnson will find plenty of playing time alongside Warren, and free agent signee Kenneth Gainwell

The defense-heavy draft is likely reflective of the Steelers' choice to not allow teams to run the ball down their throats in December again and the playoffs. With that said, the Steelers will likely address some offensive depth spots as they sign undrafted free agents.

Steelers undrafted free agent signings (UDFA) 2025:

Roc Taylor, WR, Memphis

"Taylor is a good-looking wideout with proportional size and length, but there might not be enough ingredients to bake the cake. He’s frequently rerouted or flat-out stalled by press and will see a high percentage of his targets contested due to a lack of separation quickness. He can box out defenders underneath and will win an adequate number of contested-catch battles. A miserable touchdown rate of one for every 23 catches is indicative of a lack of functional playmaking potential." Via NFL.com

D.J. Thomas Jones, TE, South Alabama (via Tom Pelissero)

Sebastian Castro, S, Iowa

"Scheme-dependent safety who plays with chaotic energy near the line of scrimmage. Castro might lack the man-cover skills and athleticism to remain a big nickelback in the pros. He plays with urgency from short zone and rushes downhill to set a contain edge and spackle missing run fits as a run defender. Athletic testing will be key in projecting Castro’s usage. A lack of versatility and his age (turns 25 in October) could work against him in the draft, but his physicality, field demeanor and special-teams utility create roster value in his favor as a down safety." Aiden Williams, OG Minnesota/Duluth (via Jeremy Fowler)

Ben Sauls, K, Pitt (via Tom Pelissero)

"Full-menu kicking prospect whose best season was his last with Pitt. Sauls has the hang-time and distance to prevent kick returns and displayed newfound deep-kick accuracy in 2024. His range helps, but teams might have to tinker with his approach and operation quickness, as it could make him vulnerable to blocks in the league." Via NFL.com

JJ Galbreath, TE, South Dakota

Ke'Shawn Williams, WR, Indiana

**Austin Brickman was originally believed to be signing with the Steelers but instead heads to Houston**
