The Pittsburgh Steelers finished off Week 8 of the 2024 NFL season with a victory. They currently sit at 6-2, which is good for first in the AFC North. Although Pittsburgh has one of the best records in the AFC, but they are awaiting on a lot of players to return from injury. Pittsburgh has fought through a ton of adversity to begin the season, but hasn't missed a beat despite the injuries that riddled the Steelers' depth chart.

The Steelers have been fighting injuries throughout the 2024 season. Troy Fautanu is expected to miss the remainder of the 2024 season, while Roman Wilson was placed on Injured Reserve on Monday and will miss at least the next four games. Thankfully for the Steelers, they have no new injuries going into their bye week. Head Coach Mike Tomlin acknowledged that there are no new significant injuries for Pittsburgh heading into the bye week during his post game press conference.
"We're just thankful to be 6-2 at the turn, we need this down time to get some guys healthy." Tomlin said. "Had some bumps and bruises associated with play, but I think that everyone that went down in game was able to return."
Pittsburgh will enter their bye week with no new injuries, which should allow them to be at full strength when they take on the Washington Commanders in Week 10. This is crucial, as the Steelers will take on an absolute gauntlet during the second half of the regular season.

The Steelers will have two weeks to prepare for Washington, which should play to their benefit. Washington isn't as easy of a game as it seemed like it might be before the 2024 season began.
They now have Jayden Daniels, who has been the best rookie in the NFL, and he is even in the MVP conversation going into Week 9. Pittsburgh has a tough task at hand as they prepare to go through the rest of the 2024 season, but they are in good shape as they head into the bye week with just two losses and sit in first place in the AFC North.

Steelers Should Be Getting Standout Rookie Back In Week 10
One of the biggest injuries that Pittsburgh has gone through during the 2024 season has been to rookie center Zach Frazier. Frazier was playing like one of the best centers in the league prior to his injury, and he should be returning against Washington. Frazier has been one of the best rookies in the NFL and he will look to continue that trend once he returns to the playing field.
This is only one of the major injuries that the Steelers have had to fight through in 2024, they also lost Fautanu going into Week 3 and rookie wide receiver was place on Injured Reserve on Monday. It is quite easy to say that the draft class from 2024 has struggled mightily with injuries.
Pittsburgh leads the AFC North going into its bye week, which will allow the entire team to get healthy with a playoff spot locked up at this point in the season. Injuries are a part of the game when it comes to the NFL, but the Steelers are certainly lucky when it comes to the fact that they will be able to see most of their players return with a 6-2 record.
