The Pittsburgh Steelers' offense has been on fire with Russell Wilson at the helm. They are averaging 30.3 points and 382 yards per game in the Wilson era. While Justin Fields was winning for the Steelers, Wilson has elevated the offense to new heights that Fields couldn't do just yet. With a massive statement win in Week 10 against the Washington Commanders, Mike Tomlin is receiving plenty of praise for the risk he made, especially from a Steeler legend.

Bill Cowher, after the Steelers win, talked about how Pittsburgh's offense has really turned over a new leaf, especially after the quarterback change. While Wilson cannot do what Fields can do running the football, he meshes very well with what Arthur Smith wants to do: run the ball and use play-action. With what Cowher has seen through three games, he believes that there isn't a ceiling to the offense with Wilson under center.

"I think there is no ceiling now with Russ." Cowher said. "The identity is right there with Arthur Smith. Run the ball, play-action, and if you run the ball, you get single-high, now you can throw the ball vertically down the field. That was not a strength of Justin Fields, but he can create plays with his legs, but it's going to take 10 to 12-play drives."

Cowher believes that Wilson's injury was a blessing in disguise. He believed the offensive line still needed time to gel, which Fields' legs came into play. Fields was able to get away from pressure and get big chunk of yards on the ground, something Wilson isn't able to do at that level.

The change couldn't have come at a more perfect time in the eyes of Cowher. At that point, Zach Frazier and Mason McCormick worked through the rookie growing pains and Isaac Seumalo came back from his pectoral injury.

Cowher even highlighted the success that George Pickens has had in the three-game stretch. He believes that Wilson is who Pickens wanted at the helm since day one and now that he is getting the ball more consistently, Cowher is most likely correct. Pickens. before Wilson, had 26 receptions for 363 yards without a touchdown in six games. Now with Wilson throwing him the ball, he has 14 receptions for 276 yards and two touchdowns.

The Steelers are 3-0 with Wilson and still hold control of the AFC North. With their divisional games starting Week 11, the offense continues to find its stride at a critical time. The team will face the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns twice, and the Cincinnati Bengals in their next four games. This is a stretch of games that could determine the Steelers' fate when it comes to the playoffs, whether they get home field advantage or not.

Wilson will want to continue the high level of play during the tough stretch. With the offense clicking more and more as each week goes by, a divisional title with a high seed isn't out of the question. The Steelers brought in a new weapon for Wilson and the deep-threat veteran Mike Williams caught his first touchdown of the season and in his Steelers' debut. As they continue to build their relationship, the offense could take even more strides forward as the regular season slowly nears it's end.

Steelers Offense Continues To Turn Heads Going Into Divisional Games

The Steelers offense is finding their rhythm at the perfect time, gaining great momentum heading to their matchup with the Ravens. Wilson's performance has given fans confidence in the offense, something that hasn't been seen in years. Pittsburgh will have four straight AFC North games and are hoping to build some distance between them and the Ravens. Wilson will continue to show not only the Steelers' front office but the whole league that he has some left in the tank.

Do you agree with Cowher that the offense doesn't have a ceiling with Wilson under center? What do you think the Steelers record will be after their four divisional games? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
